Our community is continuing to rally round as we come out of the second major lockdown of the pandemic. Thank you so much to everyone who has helped us respond in a timely and energetic manner to the challenges that confront us.
Since the end of the Spring Term 2021, girls have been back in College, and the vast majority are now learning on site. It has been wonderful to see them in person and our COVID-specific operational procedures are running smoothly with the measures we continue to adopt. Our ongoing costs include PPE and medical supplies, and additional staff to facilitate the joint classroom and digital teaching scenario. New items of expenditure have included the purchase of additional furniture and screens for the 2021 examinations and assessments, and IT equipment. Also, there are a number of families who are experiencing severe financial problems as a direct result of the pandemic, so it is important that we offer carefully assessed support in these cases.
All of this has been made so much easier by the generous response of our friends, and it enables us to react appropriately as the situation evolves. Thank you to everyone for their support.
We are still fundraising with a new target of £750,000, to keep the girls safe and to alleviate cases of hardship that are specifically related to the pandemic. Thank you.
